Shortly before the arrival of my youngest son I was lucky enough to be bought my first DSLR camera and from then on I was hooked! I seized any opportunity to take my camera along to family events, friends' riding events and pretty much any photo shoot chance.
I love to capture those little moments that are so easy to miss when children grow up so quickly. Being Mum to two lively boys means I'm used to the chaos of family life so I like to make shoots fun for even the littlest people.
I enjoy combining my love of horses and the great outdoors with my photography. I find most clients are more relaxed in the outdoors rather than under studio lights, and it's easier to capture spontaneous expression.
After many years and much encouragement from family and friends I finally decided to take the next step and launch my website. You'll see many photos in my portfolio of my long suffering children who're very used to me snapping them at random moments!
During the Covid 19 lockdown I chose to combine my daily exercise with photographing local families on their doorsteps for my Doorstep project. The aim was to capture a snapshot of this extraordinary moment in time , whilst raising money for the Royal Berks Charity. Over 80 families joined in raising over £1,400, and there are several of the resulting images in my portfolio. It was a fantastic example of our community coming together.
