Finding Beauty In The Ordinary

Last weekend I took a quick photo with my phone whilst out on a dog walk with my family. It was a typical golden hour shot, with the evening light filtered through the trees. There were no filters ,it was just straight off my phone, Several friends asked where this pretty spot was. The truth is it was a little pond right next to the main road through the village we live in. Everyone drives past it most days but we don't have time to appreciate how lovely it is. I'm lucky, with horses and a dog I'm usually out and about in the countryside that surrounds us. Sunrise and sunset are my favourite times of day. Since lockdown I've never seen so many people out walking. So many are discovering places on their doorstep they didn't know existed. Most of us are rushing a little less and finally have time to appreciate the ordinary places around us.
